Hot Weather Policy
Afternoon training will be cancelled if the actual Melbourne temperature as reported on the Bureau of Meteorology website at 2.00 pm is 36 degrees Celsius or above.
It is not based on the forecast top temperature for that day, as the actual temperature can vary significantly from the forecast temperature. The reading is based on the official BOM site, as different radio stations tend to give slightly different temperature readings. In the event of a cool change, the session will still be cancelled. Morning training will take place as per the training schedule. If a session is cancelled due to heat, a make-up class will be offered during the week if available, otherwise in the first week of the school holidays. If you are unable to attend the make-up class, no alternative class or credit will be offered for the missed session. You will be advised by PRG Admin around 2.30pm on a hot day if a session will need to be cancelled as per the heat policy. If you do not hear otherwise by that time, it means a session will take place as per normal schedule. |
